Trading Action for Today:

Oct. 31: Daytraded GEI.  Bought more long positions for my clients at 0.66 and 0.68. Technicals established a strong reversal and triggered a bullish candle coupled with minor double bottom.

Bought APX 50,000 shares at 6.80 (wtf was i thinking that time).

Monitoring SGI (established support at 0.76) and KPP (weekly chart double bottom breakout in contention). MAC did a nice move today (possible forming bart's butt formation) and so does PA.

No trading tomorrow. Will visit our mom and grandparents. Darn I miss her. Palangga ta gid ka nay. Salamat gid.

Godbless all.

Adding your site to be ranked

If you see that orange button icon on the right side menu bar, that's the link to the Pinoy Top Blogs by Abe YugaTech Olandres.  I tried signing up last October 1, 2006 just for fun, to see how my new blog section would rank up to the older blogs.

I was disappointed to see the finance section remain frozen with only three categories, and my site still not approved.  So I yahoo messenger-ed the webmaster ABE last Oct 23, to inquire why.  He responded that his server is overloaded and was not approving anymore applicants.

That's good, but suddently, there are now 4 entrants to the Finance Category.  Today, October 30, I checked and there are now 5 entrants to the Finance Category.

Basura Stocks, US Style

Check out this guy, and his analysis of Manchester, Inc. (MNCS.OB). Some sound(?) advice on basura risk management. The stock he talks about could have been your basura/glamour stock! (mining, mergers, backdoors, etc.) Caveat emptor!

The above video was posted on 7 Oct 2006. Here's what happened to MNCS as of Friday's trade… Kaboom, Kapoot!

Fantasy NBA

It's fantasy NBA time!  I'm sure outsiders (those who haven't tried fantasy sports) view us fantasy leaguers as geeks or weirdos who don't have better things to do.  My comment is — those descriptions apply only to dungeons and dragons freaks, mwahahaha, jk!

My friends and I have been playing fantasy hoops for more than 15 years, can't remember exactly when we started but I'm quite sure Lebron was still in diapers then. There was no internet then and our ever dedicated commish punched in numbers manually after buying USA Today for stats every Tuesday.  Talk about love for the game!

Why I bought Solid Group (PSEi:SGI)

The stock have been illiquid since 2001.dunno the reason why, maybe investor's perception about the company. what prompted me to buy sgi that time and tag it as a secret stock was that, bullish technical patterns were forming (pattern within a pattern.) for me, that was something that should merit a second look.

Considering that these 2 bullish patterns were forming on a weekly chart,my thinking is that after 6 years of hybernating, the stock is poised for a decent run. I contacted my good friend, compounder, to analyze the fundamentals of sgi. the company is cash rich, good and sound fundamentals so to speak. however a good friend YM buddy of mine, slick, noticed that the company havent fully utilized their cash hoardings yet. so i guess, having lots of cash around has its pros and cons as well.

Philippine’s Wealthiest

Excerpts from the report I'm working on…

Accounting for almost 2% of the Philippine’s 89 million population, the Filipino-Chinese or Chinoys as they are usually referred to, are estimated to own up to 70% of the country’s wealth. They dominate the local economy with businesses ranging from small hardware stores and groceries to large scale companies in the retail, manufacturing, real estate and banking industries. It is widely known that the most prominent business tycoons in the Philippines are Filipino-Chinese.

Replace your Adobe with Foxit

Everywhere you research on google, they will tell you what you already know, that current versions of Adobe Acrobat reader are resource hogs which take too long to load.

Back when Adobe was still in version 1, our computers were obviously older models, and they still took some noticeable time to load documents.  With today's newer comp speeds, Adobe takes more than ever to load those added variables in its latest version.  What version is it on now? 7? I don't know anymore. I've switched to Foxit reader.  It can be downloaded from this link.

Lest I sound like an infommercial endorsement for Foxit, I suggest you try it out yourself.  It saves you time from waiting the Adobe Reader to Load, and saves computer memory resources.
