Holidays and Birthday

Having spent the last 5 and a half days in Palawan for vacation was like having my batterries recharged, being away from the pollution in the Metro and all the noise. There's nothing special in the place, it's just a lot more peaceful, less pollution, and simpler life. Haven't gone to the beaches yet since my sister and her family wasn't able to prepare for the tour, after all, Dos Palmas is more than an hour away from their home, El Nido more than 4 hours travel, and the underground river which will require us more than 10 hour drive in a rough road. Nothing more to say except that I greeted my birthday while in Palawan. I would like to thank all who greeted me.

Sometimes life is not always about the wealth we accumulate. Especialy with this coming Christmas sometimes giving material possesions might not be the best gift of all.

The Parable of the Jade master

Would just like to share this excerpt from the New market wizards  by  Jack  Schwager

Just something to think about for our thought of the day.

  The Jademaster

One cold winter morning a young man walks five miles through the snow. He knocks the Jademaster’s door. The Jademaster answers with a broom on his hand.

“Yes?”

“I want to learn about Jade.”

“Very well then, come  in out of the cold.”

They sit by the fire sipping hot green tea. The Jademaster presses a green stone deeply into the young man’s hand and begins to talk about tree frogs. After a few minutes, the young man interrupts.

One, two, tie my Shoe

After attending a Christmas Party last Saturday, my 3 year old daughter was gifted with three pairs of shoes.  Come Sunday, her yaya bought her another pair after coming home from day-off.  I immediately commented to my daughter, "Wow, You have so many pairs of shoes na!"  To which she quipped, "So do you, Mom!" :-)

Mid-Season TV Show Cliffhanger Bummers

Am I just new to this phenomenon, where they cut the continuous airing of American T.V. Shows in mid-season, and promise to be back in a few months?  We've only recently been getting these shows via the internet a few hours after they air live in American television, so I wonder if this has been going on yearly.

Fox's second season of Prison Break was getting kinda exciting, then suddenly falls short when they announce that Episode 12 will pause, and season 2 will continue on JANUARY 22!

ABC's LOST will begin 16 straight weeks of all new episodes in February.

Good thing NBC's Heroes is still being released continuously…. so far.
