American Idol Season 6 – Round 1
A-dududu…A-dadada
Last Christmas, my 5-year old goddaughter entertained us with her very cute and sexy rendition of Wowowee’s famous song “Boom Tarat Tarat”. She danced the slow and the fast versions. She was really cute!!! When we met her again last Sunday at a dinner party, we requested her to show us her dance again. She said, “I don’t dance the Boom Tarat Tarat anymore because my Mommy does not like me to dance it…….” Then she quickly added “ But I have a new dance also from Wowowee…. (while shaking her shoulders left to right)…. A-dududu….. (while moving her arms up and down) A-dadada…..” J
My Funny B.
On our way back home from a recent trip abroad, we were waiting for our turn to check in at the airline counter. While waiting, B (my 3 year old daughter) sat on the luggage trolley. I told her not to sit there and showed her a “no sitting” sign that was on the trolley. The sign showed a cartoon illustration of a child sitting on the trolley with an “X” mark on it. She asked, “ Why can’t I sit there?”. And I said the sign said so. Then she said, “Can I stand instead?”
Global Warming is Here
"Feb. 2 will be remembered as the date when uncertainty was removed as to whether humans had anything to do with climate change on this planet. The evidence is on the table."
Achim Steiner, executive director of the United Nations Environment Program.
Although it has been obvious for some time now, the Science Panel on Climate Change created in 1988 finally asserted with "90% certainty" that human activities have caused this warming. If nothing is done about this, temperatures will rise and rise and rise and wreak even more havoc on the world's weather systems, and ultimately even life systems as well.
Philippine DSL Update
Starting from my SmartBro "DSL" usage which i wrote about here, I've since tried PLDT and now, Bayantel DSL.
The inconsistency of the speed of PLDT service and incompetence of their robotic technical personnel made me think why pay for "premium" fees for such crappy service?
I'd much rather pay crappy fees for the same service.
And so, I switched to Bayantel last year. For only 1,200 Pesos monthly, the package includes a landline phone, plus your DSL account now at 384kbps. They have an ongoing come-on, which from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m., this 384kbps of yours is burstible to 512.
But that is currently no longer appealling to me. With the advent of 3G late last year, Globe crashed the scene, bringing down the price of cabled dsl.
