Up 2.2%, but NFB does not wander far from NFS despite 7Bphp overall value turnover.
All eyes were on wall street last night but they chose to ignore China's move and decidedly closed up by over a hundred points, helped by former Fed chair Greenspan that China moves to cool down their equity markets and any bursting bubble effect will have impact China more and other global markets less.
By 11 a.m., GDP was announced to be at 6.9%, expected was only 5.7%. This was the fastest growth in 17 years. I tell you, why not always revise our growth projections to be on the much lower side, so as we will always be surprised by "better than expected" results.

The Chinese government decides to forcefully cool down their overheated equity markets by increasing their trading tax from .1 % to .3%. Chinese markets were lower by approximately 7% and closed at the low. For more on China Tax duties and their effects, read below our daily article.Asian Equities responded with a roughly 1% drop on the average.Locally, I was surprised to see the end of day tally still yielding an overall NFB. These largely from BPC 103M GLO 138M ALI 296M MEG 62M. MEG even managed to go up to 3.85 from JPMorgan's frenzied buying.
It was a strange day as upstart URC was a notch higher to 15.50 despite 35m NFS. The only other higher bluechip worth mentioning was AC, up by 5 to 520.

Almost 3B php, or 40% of total market value came from special block sales of
PX LOTO EPCI BDO and ATRK.
The classification of bluechips' move was mixed to slightly higher.
Taking the bulk of the NFB were: ALI 15.25 UP 634M PHP, AC 515 UP 47M, BPC 4.65 UP 45M, GLO 1340 UNCH 96M, GEO 33M 2.42 UP, and MERB 92.50 up with 40M php NFB.
Biggest NFS level were in the 20+M php level, and that is a good sign that foreign money is staying in the market.
GEO had another run to 2.50, with UBS warburg buying 36m php worth, and selling 17m worth. Still running higher were second liners EVER UW PCP CMP MIC MHI MAC.

What was a force close last Friday On TEL was moot today, as price returned back up to 2555. GLO and TEL continued to enjoy more than 95M NFB each, and both were higher to 1340 and 2555. The only other blue chip big gainer was MERB at 91.50.
Banks were mixed to slightly lower, with the foreigners turning slight net sellers.
GEO NFB was at 25M, with broker 185 JPMorgan buying most of that. GEO closed almost 10% higher at 2.32.
Bluechip losers were MEG 3.7 ALI 15 FPH 79 BPI 67.50 BDO 65.5 RCB 31.50 SM 430
The gains of only the 3 stocks GLO TEL MERB offset all those slight losses of the other stocks mentioned above.
Detox Foot Spa Bath Philippines
Having been a fan of those detox foot pads that you stick on the bottom of your feet to supposedly suck out your body's toxins, I had always been curious of those detox machines available in other countries even as of last year.
The price then was too steep, roughly around 60,000 pesos per unit. Really too much for a new age gadget with no approved therapeutic claim. Enter China. The new manufacturing hub with plenty of cheap labor and mass production availability to bring those prices down.
My unit came from an importer named Geoffrey. It can cost you 18,000 from him, or about 25,000 from other sellers.
As seen on the picture, the unit comes with the bath basin, an autovolt power adapter, grounding unit, spring coil array, and an optional pulsating acupuncture gadget.
