Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 Big Night- Will Wendy Valdez win

After a pretty lackluster season of Pinoy Big Brother, the show is finally getting noticed with speculations of vote rigging.  In its last episode, Bodie Cruz was evicted while Bea Saw, Wendy Valdez, Gee-Ann Abrahan and Mickey Perz stay on as the Big Four. A lot of people are questioning the votes of Wendy Valdez.  She was booed by the audience last eviction night and is said to be the most hated housemate in all PBB editions.  Well, even if she doesn't win tonight, all the publicity right now is working in her favor.  I think the losers of previous PBB editions, except for Kim Chiu are better off right now than the winners.  The Big night will be held tonight, June 30 at the Big Dome – Araneta Coliseum.

Kudos to Finance Manila forum, Boss Dragon and FMers!!!

Congratulations to Boss Dragon and FMers!!! Finance Manila forum hit two all time highs this week.  The highest number of users online simultaneously reached 1171 on Thu Jun 28, 2007 11:10 am.  It broke the previous record which was around 890 set the day before (Jun 27,2007).  More Power to Finance Manila!!! And thank you to all sponsors who continue to support this site.

I know that Boss D's dad is looking down from heaven with a proud smile on his face.  My daughter (christened Baby Dragon by some FMers who attended the last mini-EB) and I are very proud of him too.  Hmmm… If hubby is boss Dragon and our daughter is baby Dragon, maybe I should change my nickname too.  How about Lady Dragon? Or Phoenix (partner of dragon in lucky chinese symbols)?

Starting today June 28 to July 4, 2007, Cebu Pacific Air is having a seat sale for their new routes to China, namely, Xiamen, Shanghai, Macau and Guangzhou.  This sale has different promo travel periods for each destinations.

Paella Places in the Metro

Two weeks ago, my family and I had dinner at Paella Paloma located at the 6th floor of Shangrila Mall.  We ordered their gambas, lengua, two kinds of paella (paella paloma and paella something) and a beef dish.  Food was great and the servings were huge.  Prices are reasonable considering the size of the orders.  However, I was a bit disappointed with their paella since it was a bit soggy and too salty for my taste.  But the lengua was delicious!!! I also wanted to try their dessert but was too full to eat anymore.  Maybe next time…

Wanted: Kumon English and Math lessons

I was listening to Karen Davila and Vic de leon-Lima's Pasada Sais-Trenta at DZMM yesterday afternoon.  I caught the last part of a live interview with administration senatorial bet, Miguel "Migz" Zubiri.  Migz was justifying all sorts of reasons why he is now ahead of Genuine Opposition candidate, Koko Pimentel.  He said that he is leading by 16,000 votes in this so and so province and leading by 17,000 votes in this other province.  So in total, he said that he is already ahead by 31,000 votes!!! Come again? Maybe he needs to take a Kumon lesson first.

And then this morning in Ted Failon and Korina Sanchez' morning program, Tambalang F and S, they were replaying a sound bite again and again.  It was supposed to be from an interview with a DOH secretary.  He goes.. "Ang cow's milk ay para sa cow, ang pig's milk ay para sa biik, ang dog's milk ay para sa tuta, and ang breastmilk, of the nanays, ay para sa sanggol."  How socy naman you.  Smile

Life Lessons from Bikram Yoga (Manila)

I've started going to Bikram Yoga Manila two months ago and have maintained a practice of 2 to 3 classes per week.  Aside from the obvious physical benefits of yoga, a lot of other lessons learned during practice can be applied outside the yoga room as well.

Lesson 1.  Patience. Facing the limitations of my body makes me more understanding of my other limitations. I learned to embrace these limitations and know that through practice, I will be able to overcome them.  I learned not to be so hard on myself.

Lesson 2.  There are good days and bad days.  Sometimes my practice goes on smoothly, sometimes I'm worse than the first-timers.  Just like life, we can't have good times all the time.
