News that gunmen strafed SSS President Neri's house probably contributed to the selling jitters we experienced today. Wall street was slightly higher on ALcoa's earnings, while the rest of asia was flat to slightly higher.
Excitement in the big caps was led by FGEN's dramatic run to 17.50, which later gave way for a not so dramatic slide back to 17. FGEN experienced 21m nfs. This run then slide was mirrored by other lopez stocks: MER 192 HI, 188 close, 20m nfb, FPH apathy at 40.5 but with 75m nfb, BPC 3.6 hi, 3.4 close, with 16m nfs.
Banking stocks BPI MBT continued to garner strong NFB worth 28m and 106m each respectively. However, both stocks closed flat at 45.5 and 42.
In the 50m php nfs range were: AC, MPI AGI. TEL GLO went separate net foreign trades with the former getting 18M NFS, while GLO got 19m nfb, but both shares closed lower as well.
Newcomer upstart failed to reach limit up 50% ceiling for a 4th day, but closed up at 4.05 nonetheless regardless of its 69m nfs.
By closing, only 5 index stocks remained at the green: MER BEL BDO JFC AEV FGEN.
Ongpin's new toy Atok had some few shares done at 50% limit up again, to make way for readjustment of price freeze band for the next day. His other company WEB posted strong profits and broke out of its 15.5 stupor to close at 16. Next resistance would be 18.50, then a miraculous 54 for this meteoric run.
